Avon Foot Works Green Tea & Mint Exfoliating Scrub

Another item from Avon. I told you I'm on a budget?)

So this is Avon Foot Works Green Tea & Mint Exfoliating Scrub.
Avon Foot Works Green Tea & Mint Exfoliating Scrub

What company says: Exfoliates and softens rough skin of the feet.

Directions: Apply to the skin of the feet and strongly massage paying particular attention to calloused areas. Rinse with warm water. Avoid contact with eyes.

Ingredients: Aqua / Water, Plyethylene, Glycerin, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Carbomer, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Parfum / Fragrance, Methylparaben, Potassium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Denaturated Alcohol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, CI 19140, CI 61570, CI 15510, Limonene.

Price: $4,6 / 140 rub. for 2,53 fl.oz. / 75 ml. Green Tea & Mint line is discontinued.

My experience: Avon Foot Works Green Tea & Mint Exfoliating Scrub is lucent light yellow-green gel with abrasive particles. It has a fresh scent which reminds me of Lipton Ice Tea Green)

I use it right after the pumic stone. I think foot scrub is good thing when it comes to exfoliating such remote places like the toes and the spaces between them. This scrub removes rough skin and softens my feet. However I wish it was thicker and had more exfoliating particles. Sometimes my feet feel very dry after using this but I use my foot cream and it helps. I think one needs to use foot cream after any foot scrub. So it's ok for me.

What about you? Have you ever tried Avon Foot Works scrubs?

Avon Foot Works Heel Softening Cream

Hi guys!

Today we have a day off. It's Day of Fatherland Defenders! It's a celebration of all men no matter if they are in the army or not. So congrats to the all Russian men!

Avon Foot Works Heel Softening Cream
tube

What company says: Cracking up? Give your heels some sanity. Relieves extremely dry, cracked skin on feet, providing 24-hour moisturisation. Helps heal and guard against skin infection in tender, cracked skin. (Info from AvonShop.co.uk)

Directions: Apply to the skin of the feet and gently massage. Avoid contact with eyes.

Ingredients: Aqua / Water, Isopropyl Palmitate, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Urea, Rapeseed Oil, Dimethicone,Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 80, Benzyl Alcohol, Lactic Acid, Allantoin, Methylparaben, Benzalkonium Chloride, Tangerine Oil, Denaturated Alcohol, Limonene.

Price: $4,6 / 140 rub. for 2,53 fl.oz. / 75 ml but Avon often has discounts on this item. Oh and you need Avon rep in order to purchase this.

My experience: Avon Foot Works Heel Softening Cream has a thick texture and white color but it is not oily at all. In case you have not noticed it doesn't contain parfum / fragrance that is a big plus for me because I have an allergy to some fragrances. It has barely noticeable scent though. This scent seems to be a mixture of tangerine oil and chemicals haha)

This foot cream absorbs quickly after applying and leaves the feet soft and moisturized. However I can't say I love this cream. I don't have cracked heels so i can't say anything about it's relieving properties. I just use it as a moisturizing foot cream after shower or footbath. Nothing special again.
And I'm still looking for a foot cream without fragrance and for reasonable price.
Any suggestions?

L'Oreal Paris Elseve Total Repair 5 Conditioner

I can't live without a conditioner. My hair is so dry and brittle at the ends( I always try different conditioners from different brands and I just can't find a right conditioner for my dry ends( I use split ends serums as well but the ends are still dry(

So this is L'Oreal Paris Elseve Total Repair 5 Conditioner. Here in Russia we have L'Oreal Paris Elseve hair care line that is similar to L'Oreal Paris Elvive line.
L'Oreal Paris Elseve Total Repair 5 Conditioner
in the bottle

What company says:

5 problems, 1 solution

Weak, limp, lifeless hair looks replenished, fullness restored.

- Reinforcing: Enriched with Pro-Keratin, the conditioning formula reinforces each hair fibre leaving it feeling strengthened and better able to resist daily wear and tear.
- Re-Surfacing: Enriched with Ceramide, a replica of hair’s natural cement, the formula helps restore a smoother feel to the hair fibre, leaving it soft to the touch with a healthy looking shine.

Helps restore 5 visible signs of replenished hair:

1. Feels stronger*
2. Looks fuller
3. Looks revitalised
4. With a healthy looking shine
5. Looks silkier

*Lab test shampoo + conditioner vs. classic shampoo. (Info from Loreal-Paris.co.uk)

Directions: Work through the lengths of your hair, right to the tips, and then rinse. For extra care and brightness use as part of the complete ELVIVE FULL RESTORE 5 range. IN CASE OF CONTACT WITH EYES, RINSE THEM IMMEDIATLEY. (Info from Loreal-Paris.co.uk)

Ingredients: Aqua / Water, Cetyl Alcohol, PEG-180, Elaenis Guineensis Oil / Palm Oil, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Dodecene, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Arginine, Chlorhexidine Digliconate, Ploxamer 407, Linalool, Isopropyl Myristate, 2-Oleamido-1,3-Octadecanediol, Miristyl Alcohol, Serine, Cetrimonium Chloride, Cetyl Esters, BHT, Citric Acid, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Lauryl PEG / PPG 18 / 18 Methicone, Glutamic Acid, Hexyl Cinnamal, Glyceryl Linoleate, Glyceryl Oleate, Glyceryl Linolenate, Parfum / Fragrance (FIL C37066/1).

Price: I purchased mine for $4,3 / 130 rub. It is 6,76 fl.oz. / 200 ml of the product.

My experience: The texture of the conditioner is creamy. It has a slightly translucent white color and a traditional synthetic shampoo scent. I don't love this type of scent because on some days it causes headache (just like today). *sigh*
L'Oreal Paris Elseve Total Repair 5 Conditioner / swatched
on the hand
L'Oreal Paris Elseve Total Repair 5 Conditioner is kind of absorbed into the hair unlike other conditioners I have tried before. And when it comes to rinsing it seems like there isn't much to rinse. And this fact makes me think that this conditioner works better than others. In fact it just helps to detangle the hair and doesn't make it greasy. That's all it's good features but I usually don't expect more from a conditioner. So L'Oreal Paris Elseve Total Repair 5 Conditioner is just another ordinary conditioner. Nothing to write home about.

ps  I have heard many good things about this conditioner from people living in other countries but I think this conditioner is nothing special. I just want to say maybe my conditioner which was made in Russia is different from that one which was made in Europe or in the US. I mean the brand is the same but the quality is different. What do you think? BTW can you recommend me a conditioner? Do you have any favorites?

Everyday Minerals Shimmer Eyeshadow - All Spice And Pearl Eyeshadow - Smokey Pink /Review/

Hi!
This is my 2nd blog post about Everyday Minerals and today I'd like to tell you about their eyeshadows.
Everyday Minerals Shimmer Eyeshadow - All Spice
in the jar
Everyday Minerals Pearl Eyeshadow - Smokey Pink
in the jar
What company says: All Spice - Like a soft neutral pink champagne laced with delicate white shimmer. Smokey Pink - Pretty, soft, pearlescent pink with lavender undertones. (Info from EverydayMinerals.com)
Directions: Sprinkle eye shadow powder into the lid of the jar. Use an eye shadow or eye kabuki brush for application. Apply all over eyelid, crease area, or onto your brow bone. Blend shadows well. Blend in other eye shadows to achieve a more dramatic look. (Info from EverydayMinerals.com)
Ingredients: All Spice - Mica (CI 77019), Lauroyl Lysine. May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Ultramarines (CI 77007). Smokey Pink - Mica (CI 77019), Lauroyl Lysine. May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).
Price: $7 / 210 rub. for mini size jar (0,09 oz. / 2,5 g)  and $4,5 / 135 rub. for travel size. (Click here to learn more about their travel sizes.) EverydayMinerals.com does ship worldwide and offers free samples with purchase.
My experience: Everyday Minerals eyeshadows come in plastic sifter jars. All Spice is a soft neutral color with hints of pink and gray and delicate white shimmer. Smokey Pink is pearlescent grayish pink with hints of violet. This two colors makes a perfect combination for soft and sophisticated look. These mineral eyeshadows are well pigmented and have good staying power. Take a look on the swatches.

And here is the look I created using these mineral eyeshadows.
look

 eyes closed
To achieve this look I used Smokey Pink all over my upper eyelid and All Spice at the brow bone, in the inner corners of the eyes, and at the lower lash line. I must say that Smokey Pink is one of those colors that make me look ill. I think it's all because of my olive skin tone. So I need to use a lighter color eyeshadow primer prior to use Smokey Pink in order to make it look good on me. I used black liquid eyeliner as well, I think any will work. And I used Everyday Minerals Lucent Face Powder - Champagne (read my review here) to highlight my cheekbones.
I loved Smokey Pink so much and I had to try it on my nails. Here is my result.
Everyday Minerals Pearl Eyeshadow - Smokey Pink / swatched
on the nails
I applied my basecoat on my nails and followed with 1 layer of a neutral color nail polish. Then I dipped my finger in Smokey Pink and tapped the eyeshadow onto the wet nail polish. I think it's better to paint 2-3 nails at a time because the nail polish must be wet. When all my nails were covered with the Smokey Pink I applied my regular topcoat and loved the result. The color was so subtle and delicate I wanted to look at it again and again!
Have you ever used your makeup in unusual way?

Everyday Minerals Lucent Face Powder - Champagne /Review/

Hi guys!
Recently I had a chance to work with Everyday Minerals. BTW I love the design of their website)
Carina and Kate sent me some mineral makeup products to review.
I love all the products so much! I love everything - the colors, the quality, and the package... And I took a lot of pictures! So I decided to make 3 separate blog posts on their mineral makeup and this is 1st of them.
Everyday Minerals Lucent Face Powder - Champagne is a sheer and sparkling loose face powder.
in the jar
What company says: This versatile light pink/light beige shade has a healthy dose of sparkle added to highlight your best features. Great for Fair to Medium skin tones. (Info from EverydayMinerals.com)
Directions: Everyday Minerals Lucent Powders are translucent with luminescent qualities to give you a radiant, glowing complexion day or night. Ideal for use over your Everyday Minerals base. (Info from EverydayMinerals.com
Hmmm... I didn't find any other directions at Everyday Minerals website and on the jar of this powder. You should apply this to your face I guess? Seriously I think you should apply this to the parts of your face you want to highlight such as cheekbones. You can use Tapered Sculpting Face Brush from Everyday Minerals.
Ingredients: Mica (CI 77019) May contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)
Price: $8 / 320 rub. for 0,19 oz. / 5,5 g and $2,5 / 75 rub. for sample size. I think this is a reasonable price. EverydayMinerals.com does ship worldwide and offers free samples with purchase.
My experience: Everyday Minerals Lucent Face Powder - Champagne comes in a sifter jar with extra security lid (you can see it at the photo above) which allows you to cover the sifter and avoid mess. What a great idea! The powder itself is light pink / light beige with a lot of silver sparkles and it is so pigmented that you only need a tiny amount of the product and this is the case when a little goes a long way.
Everyday Minerals Lucent Face Powder - Champagne is a bit light for my medium / deep olive skin tone.
applied and blended with brush / applied with finger
However I tried it on some models with lighter complexion and it looks gorgeous on them! This is a great product for sculpting / highlighting. But you can apply it all over the face if you want more sparkling look for special occasions such as night out. You can use it both for your face and for your body. Since mineral makeup products are versatile you always have a double use from one product. Personally, I love using Everyday Minerals Lucent Face Powder - Champagne over some matte and satin eye shadows because this gives them a new dimension. And I love this powder on my lips.
all over the face and on the lips
For this lip look I used Everyday Minerals Lucent Face Powder - Champagne and a lip balm (mine was from Oriflame but any will work except for some lip balms which have very hard stick and are beeswax based, they don't give shine). At first I applied the lip balm then followed with some Everyday Minerals Lucent Face Powder - Champagne and finished with another layer of the lip balm. I used only my fingers for applying.
Thanks for reading! Have you ever tried Everyday Minerals products? What is your experience?
I received Everyday Minerals Lucent Face Powder - Champagne from EverydayMinerals.com for review purposes.

Yves Rocher Riche Creme Intense Regenerating Care With 30 Precious Oils

Hi guys!
Today I want to tell you about Yves Rocher Riche Creme Intense Regenerating Care With 30 Precious Oils.
What company says: A complete skin care: a day cream and a night cream in one jar!
An unprecedented combination of 30 Precious Oils were selected for their excellence to provide skin with the ultimate nutrition, replenishment, and anti-wrinkle care. This exceptional and highly effective anti-aging cream will nourish your skin and mend the look of wrinkles. Newly replenished, your skin feels soft and smooth. Rich in active anti-aging essentials, it gives the skin the nutrition and the ultimate renewal it needs.
Directions: May be used daily, day and night, or as an intensive treatment.
Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Propylene Glycol, Isododecane, Elaeis Guineensis Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Brassica Campestris Oleifera Oil, Steareth-2, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glyceryl Stearate, Steareth-21, Ethylhexyl Cocoate, Paraffinum Liquidum, Stearyl Alcohol, Cera Microcristallina, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Paraffin, Parfum, Olea Europaea Oil, Ethyl Linoleate, Methylparaben, Zea Mais Oil, Xanthan Gum, Carthamus Tinctorius Oil, Corylus Avellana Nut Oil, Ricinus Communis Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Retinyl Palmitate, Sorbic Acid, Lecithin, Glycine Soja Sterol, Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil, Prunus Persica Kernel Oil, Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil, Pistacia Vera Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima Oil, oryza sativa Germ Oil, Mangifera Indica Seed Oil, Juglans Regia Oil, Gossypium Oil, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, Ethylparaben, ИРЕб Propylparaben, Rosa Muschata Oil, Oenothera Biennis Oil, Limnanthes Alba Seed Oil, Gevuina Avellana Oil, Carapa Guaianensis Oil, Camelina Sativa Oil, Argania Spinosa Oil, Anacardium Occidentale Nut Oil, Butylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide.
Price:  At YvesRocherUSA.com it is 1740 rub. / $58 for 75 ml / 2.5 fl.oz. jar. According to their Russian site, the price of this creme is 1550 rub. / $51,7 that is a bit cheaper. And you know, Yves Rocher regularly has special price on this item when you can get it as low as 30-40% off. Mine was free with purchase)
My experience: First of all, this creme is recommended for the age 55+. And I'm only 24 yo. But I have heard from many women of that age that this creme does nothing for them. In the second place, winter is that time when I use serums as an intensive treatment prior to my regular day and night moisturizers. This winter I couldn't afford a serum but I had this creme for free. So I decided to take a chance and use this instead of serum and moisturizers.
It is a white thick creme with a sweet scent which is kind of unnatural and heavy for me.
Since it's packaged in the jar I have expected it has a spatula for more hygienic use. But it does not.
As for ingredients, it contains 30 oils as stated as well as parabens and other chemicals. I think it's pricey for it's quality.
All in all, I like this creme. It nicely melts in palms. When applied to the face it feels a little oily but it absorbs and this feeling usually passes after 10-15 min. leaving my face moisturized, smooth and matte. I must say it is makeup-friendly (at least mineral makeup-friendly). Regard to it's anti-aging properties I have little to say. It smoothed two little wrinkles on my forehead. In addition it evened out my skin tone.
I think it is a great winter time creme if you are as lucky as me and have normal skin) But I won't even think about purchasing it! It's too pricey for me...
And what about you? Have you ever tried Yves Rocher products? Do you have any favorites?
